About the event
This introductory throwing session is perfect for absolute beginners or those who have tried throwing before and want a refresher session. Led by owner and experienced teacher Lucy Young, you'll receive a demonstration on preparing the clay and safely operating the wheel. After that, you will have the rest of the session, with support, to make your own pots on a brand-new, state-of-the art pottery wheel!
🎖️Included in the price of the session, you will be able to select your favourite pot to keep and use for many years to come!
🏅You will be able to choose from three coloured glazes for your finished pot to be dipped in.
🏅When your pot is completely dry, it will be twice fired in the electric kiln for a initial 'bisque' and then a second ‘glaze’ firing which goes up to stoneware temperature (1220C) . This process can take up to 5-6 weeks,…
