WHAT TO EXPECT

Bring your team together for a creative, hands-on experience at Lucy Young Ceramics. 

Everyone is welcome, no experience is needed, and the emphasis is on collaboration, creativity, and having fun in a relaxed, supportive environment. You’ll receive expert guidance and demonstrations while your team enjoys a unique, hands‑on experience that’s both social and rewarding.

What’s Included

Held at Lucy Young Ceramics Studio, Unit D2, Maws Craft Centre, Ironbridge 

Ideal for 6–12 participants (6 state-of-the-art pottery wheels + table workspace for 6) 

Larger groups can be accommodated at your company with hand-building activities or one pottery wheel brought on-site for a demonstration or small wheel-throwing experience 

Accessibility: ground-floor studio suitable for those with decreased mobility 

Fully insured and risk-assessed workshop 

Mobile workshops or bespoke hand-building packages available on request 

Refreshments and lunch available at The Tile Press Café, on-site 

Prices include materials and firing, exclusive of VAT.

Workshop Type 

Pottery Painting 

1.5 hours | £55 

Decorate a pre-made hand-thrown mug, tankard, plate, or bowl. Your pottery will be fired and ready for collection in 3–4 weeks. 

Wheel-Throwing Taster 

2 hours | £65 

Intro to wheel throwing. Learn to throw a bowl, beaker, or chip & dip bowl. Finished pieces glazed and twice-fired in a colour of your choice. 

Full Workshop 

3 hours | £85 

1.5h wheel-throwing + 1.5h hand-building. Learn to throw a bowl, beaker, or chip & dip bowl and create a personalised ceramic stationary caddy or charcuterie board.


What to bring

Wear comfortable clothing that can get a little messy, and keep your nails short!
