5 Week Throwing Course (Beginner) ● £260
WHAT TO EXPECT
This hands on course is designed for potters who want to develop their wheel throwing skills across five guided sessions. You will refine your technique, explore new forms and gain confidence in creating more ambitious pieces. Each class begins with a demonstration followed by step by step guidance from Lucy, an experienced teacher and skilled production potter.

Five week pottery wheel course
2.5 hours per week in Lucy’s pottery studio at Maws Craft Centre
Expert guidance and demonstrations throughout
Development of consistency and control in wheel throwing
Techniques for throwing taller and wider forms
Techniques for handles, finishing techniques and surface decoration
Your own pottery wheel and specialist tools for each session
Unlimited clay for practice and all materials provided
Additional pieces can be fired for a small charge based on weight
Choose your favourite four bowls to be fired in the kiln
what to bring
An apron and old towel stroke tea towel for drying hands and wheel head alternatively you can hire an apron and towel bundle at check out for £5
Wear comfortable clothing that can get a little messy, and keep your nails short!
