5 Week Throwing Course (intermediate) £430

WHAT TO EXPECT

This course is designed for potters who already have the basics under their belt. If you can confidently centre clay and pull up walls you are ready to refine your technique and explore more ambitious forms. Over five weeks you will develop your throwing skills, experiment with new techniques and create taller, wider and more complex pieces.

What’s included

  • Expert one to one guidance from an experienced teacher and production potter

  • Detailed demonstrations throughout the course

  • Development of consistency and control in wheel throwing

  • Techniques for handles, joining, finishing and surface decoration

  • Your own pottery wheel and specialist tools for the duration of the course

  • Unlimited clay for practice and all materials provided

  • Opportunity to choose 4-6 favourite pieces to glaze and fire in the kiln

  • Additional pieces can be fired for a small charge based on weight

What to bring

An apron and old towel /tea towel for drying hands and wheel head alternatively you can hire an apron and towel bundle at check out for £5 

Wear comfortable clothing that can get a little messy, and keep your nails short! 

Cost

£430 per person for the session  £5 per apron and towel bundle for hire 

Duration

2.5 hours per week for 5 weeks (including demonstration & clean up time)
