WHAT TO EXPECT
This private session is perfect for groups who want to enjoy the pottery wheel together, whether for friends, family, or colleagues. The studio is yours exclusively for the session, giving you space to explore wheel throwing at your own pace. Lucy, an experienced teacher and skilled production potter, will start with demonstrations before guiding your group step-by-step.
You’ll focus on centring, pulling up, shaping, and finishing your pieces, with the freedom to make it bespoke for the party. Work at your own pace, experiment with techniques, and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where you can immerse yourselves in clay and have fun creating together.

Step-by-step demonstrations and guidance from Lucy - an experienced teacher and skilled production potter
Unlimited clay to use throughout the session
Options to customise the session for your group, such as:
Creating a themed set of pieces
Choosing individual projects (bowls, mugs, or decorative items)
Fun finishing or surface decoration activities tailored to the group
Glazing and firing: each participant can choose their favourite piece to be twice-fired and glazed in a colour of their choice
A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere to enjoy learning, creating, and celebrating together
Your pot will be available for collection three to four weeks after your session (Or can be posted for an additional charge)
Additional pieces can be fired for a small charge based on weight
What to bring
An apron and old towel / tea towel for drying hands and wheel head alternatively you can hire an apron and towel bundle at check out for £5
Wear comfortable clothing that can get a little messy, and keep your nails short!
